Services

I am available for in-person counseling, or we can meet online. Initially, we talk about whatever brought you to counseling. Going forward, we determine your goals for counseling, then we begin to work toward understanding Jesus and His help and healing for your life. Whatever is on your heart, we will work through it together.

My background in Education helps
me to direct, connect and draw out
the child for purposeful problem-solving, trauma care, and help
for healing.

Virginia's collection of toys even includes models (Mater and Lightning) from the movie Cars. Toys can help young children express their feelings and communicate with their counselor.
Colorful legos are provided for play therapy, which is used to help young children communicate with their Christian counselor.

Play therapy is an important part of counseling for young children. Using directive (I lead the play) and nondirective (the child leads) play therapy, I help the child understand and express his/her emotions in a safe and structured environment.

This helps us to form a relationship and gives the child a space to
express and explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

Three wind-up T Rex toys that can walk. Toys like these are an important part of play therapy, to help young children communicate with their counselor.
Toy construction trucks and equipment and a big pile of play sand are some of the toys available for Play Therapy, where the child and the counselor work together while engaged in play.

We use our play to work on issues such as behavior, fears, anxiety, communication gaps, lapses in judgment, social pressures, peer struggles, forgiveness, divorce care and trauma.

Our teens are constantly enticed to pursue things that lead them away from the Lord. I counsel older children and teenagers to help them understand and overcome addiction, and to process trauma, anxiety and stress.

We work to learn to navigate relationship issues, divorce care, and identity struggles. We learn about forgiveness, and how to manage loneliness, grief, and triggers.

My training and experience in education allow me to remain relatable while staying focused in counseling.

I work with women to help them understand their identity in Christ, to know how to seek and follow the Lord, and how to access Scripture in a relevant way.

I help women learn to process trauma and issues from childhood. We work to grow skills to manage anxiety, stress and depression, to process relationship issues, and to improve communication.

Couples often have trouble relating to one another, understanding each other’s viewpoints and opinions, and communicating effectively. Having a trained counselor working alongside you to advocate for your relationship is incredibly helpful.

Together, we process past trauma, lingering relationship issues, pain, and struggles. We learn to identify and navigate communication stumbling blocks.
We learn how to forgive and move forward.

We are blessed to have a beautiful, healthy place where we can enjoy our time together.

May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Ephesians 3:19
